Fall Pin Cushion 2

This time this is a cup/saucer Fall themed pin cushion for a friend who was flaked on. I HATE THAT!!!!! SHe is such a sweet lady and deserved to have one as she sent one. I **ANGELED** the spot to make Kerrie a pin cushion. Here is what I  made. I used a white trimmed in gold..(perfect Fall color) cup and saucer from the Goodwill store. I used warm rich tones in all embellies to give the Autumn flair it needed. I sure hope it fits Kerrie's taste.

Started out like this!!!!

Fall inspired colors for the embellishments. I MADE this flower!

Extras to give it personality!

Final project!

Band-aid Box 2

Here is another version of an altered band-aid tin. This one is for Heather aka ScrappyChick. She was my partner in the OCT color Combo swap on the CMB. Our colors to work with was brown and blue.. I love how it turned out. THe Primas were dusted lightly across them witn ink to give a hint of color. I used TH Alcohol inks in pebble/hazelnut/denim for the basic start. I used the brown/blue ribbon from stash. The *H* was a leftover alpha letter so I inked it with SU chocolate chip ink and heat set it...I made the stick pin to add.

Leave some love on how you like it.

Autumn Wreath

Love how this turned out!!! It was one of the Handmade items for Candy's box. She really enjoyed it too. It's a small grapevine wreath I had used a wide blue/brown plaid ribbon around.  Handmade and prima flowers are carefully placed around the bow of the ribbon. I used a stick pin I had also made. The small banner was cut from the MFT dies...layered and  put onto chocolate brown twine. Sooo pretty!

Band-aid Box

Just a small tin I altered fro Fall. I used Tim Holtz Distressed Inks in the NEW Persimmon, brushed burlap, and aged how it looks. I then added a strip of AUTUMN print fabrin and orange crocheted ribbon that was misted with Coffee shop glimmer mist to age it...made the burgandy flower. Added rhinestone flourishes and a memo pin by Timmy with the word Fall. SOOO cute.

For the love of Lighthouses

I absolutely LOVE lighthouses!!!! While on vacation to Mackinac Island, Michigan I had the pleasure of seeing several and climbing to the top of one. Whew...that was scarey! It was a beautiful view from the top, though. They are all different and unique...such wonders of the water and land. I truely loved seeing them all.

McGulpin's Point Lighthouse. This is the one I climbed to the top! Also Davenports ran this lighthouse!! How cool is that?

Mackinac Island, Michigan

WHAT a WONDERFUL vacation this was!!!! I  loved it there. The perfect weather...the picturesque views...the lighthouses....couldn't have been a more perfect time to go. Chad and I had a great time...we stay inland and took in some sights there on the first day. The second day we took a ferry to the island and enjoyed it all. We rode bikes all around the island...8.5 miles All they had was bikes, horseback riding, or carriages. Definately a time in the peaceful and seren...gorgeous place to visit. I plan to go back and see some of the things we didn't have time to see this visit.

Thank you, Hon, for such a great trip...Luv'd it and the adventure we had together made it even more special. Love you!

Vintage Christmas Box

I altered a plain kraft square box for a swap on the CMB. Heaven was my partner.  I used alot of the images from a vintage theme pack of papers. I love how it turned out. Used a Tim HOltz knob for the top of the box. Then I filled it with some much desired wishes Heaven wanted.
The papers are from Hobby Lobby...I colored the seam binding in a Christmas red and crinkled it...soo easy!
