Mini Wreath

This was for a friend in a swap. Her craft room will be brown/blue with dots once her new home is built. SO this will work great in her new space...ENJOY Crystal.

I have altered this grapevine wreath a while back...but just getting it to my blog. It was different but I had a great time with it.

Red~White & Blue Charms

Here are my charms for the YPP charm swap. I love how they turned out...But then again...I really enjoy the Patriotic theme on anything. The tag I used the snowflake cuttlebug folder to make it look like FIREWORKS...then used TH distressed inks in aged mohagony..stormy sky...weathered wood..and fired brick to give the illusions  of the fire bursts of color in the sky.  I have really loved how these look!

Sign

I've been  ready to send out  my sign for  Tracy for a while now...just the  days of working OT and not getting there before closing has been an issue. UGHHHH....BUT tomorrow...I have a vacation day to enjoy...and a trip to the post office is what I'm doing. I have enjoyed this sign. ScrappinInWonderland...aka Tracy....loves Alice in wonderland...The paper by Graphic 45 Once upon a Springtime was perfect for what I had planned. I used a Disney 3-D sticker on it of Alice....fits...I used HANDMADE flowers from a swap on the CMB...a pretty butterfly made from nylon...and monarch butterfly cuts from MS punch. I've enjoyed the challenge on this swap and hope it has been worth the wait!!!

Family Canvas

Whew....I'm sooo excited to see how my partner on the CMB reacts to this altered canvas. It is larger than what was required...but I think an 8x8 isn't big enough to EXPRESS yourself....lol. Elizabeth...enjoy  this...it's on the way tomorrow. I started with a blank scretched canvas. I used TH alcohol inks in Latte, Caramel.,Hazelnut and Meadow. I love the way it all blended soo well.The papers are from DCWV...Mariposa and Linen and Lace.  I destressed the papers edges...sanded, torn, and ripped. I painted 2 yellow photo corners to be chocolate brown...as well as the chipboard birdcage . It was sent to me in a RAK. The bird I painted buttermil and gave him a lil' blue eye. Painted the chipboard flourish a light sage. I added a chain to the bird house to give it the appearance of hanging. The large brown flower is glimmer misted with Pinecone. The feathered stick pin is from a swap...THANK YOU COYOTEKIM...and the one in the lowere lf hand corner is from another swap. Ribbon is from stash and so is the ligth brown tuelle behind the flowers.Family is cut at 3 1/4" from Cricut cartridge Lacey Labels. The frame is also painted buttermilk and was in a RAK...added 2 pearl brads and it's good to go. I'm really proud of my FIRST altered canvas...I will be doing more of them!!

Pretty Tilda

Good morning to all...

I'm soo happy today is Saturday! DH will be off racing and I have the rest of the day to myself and crafting...wooo hooo. I just finished this Spinner card for a friend. I love it!!! Turned out pretty darn cute! She too loves the pink/brown combo as I do. This is ONLY my 3rd or 4th COLORED Tilda...I'm still trying to get the feel for the COPIC markers. It's fun learning!

At the Beach Charms

I just finished my swap on the CMB for **At the Beach** charms/dangle. I used the colors of the water in greens and blues and added charms of fish and shells. I really think they are adorable...and hope that those that rec'v them ..enjoy them.

Guest Designer

Hello to all....

I am more than ecstatic...I've been chosen to be a Guest Designer for OneCrazyStamper for the month of August. I know it's only for ONE month....but that is a start. I'm soo happy. I was even given a blinkie to add to me blog. There will be two challenges and one has a theme of  **Fun in the Sun** and I have that one colored...but need to finish the card. Love how it turned out too. I'm no pro at coloring with copic markers...but I'm learning more and hope to be better soon.  I will post my creation once I'm done.

Grunge Meets Girlie

I've made these dangles/charms for my swap on the CMB. OMG...I'm not wanting to send them...I want to KEEP them....BUT the ladies are going to love them....It was a Tim Holtz swivel clasp swap. Had to use 3 vintage like items....mine are the aged lock and key and a mini spool. I used Tim Holtz distressed inks in tattered rose and walunt stain to give them an old vibe. The keys and locks are Maya Road chipboard pcs and I used the Ranger Copper dabber to add age as well. LOVE THEM!!!!!!  We also had to use 4 Tim Holtz items on the charm/dangle. I used word sticks...trinket pins with pink beads...Fragment charms I added pink/black buttons to...and a pearl baubble from his things. So to me the  ***Grunge Meets Girlie*** is sooo appropriate. I add pink beads in where I could..and a piece of PINK tuelle was added for texture and softness. I just LOVE how they turned out...

Not the NORMAL clothespin

I altered this clothespin for a Birthday gift for a good friend on the CBM. ....Crystal. ENJOY IT SWEETIE!!! I know her new scrap room will be blue and brown...so I made this to fit into her color scheme. I love how it turned out.  I hope she likes it as much. The ticket...I crinkled and then inked with  brushed corduroy and tattered rose distressed inks by TH.

A Lil' Bit of Ole' Glory

I joined a Patriotic Pin Cushion Swap on the CMB. I sooo enjoyed altering something OTHER than a cup/saucer for this round. I also made some pretty pins for this pin cushion. I found a clear star trinket box at a thrift shop...what is more PERFECT for a Patriotic theme than a STAR?????!!!!!  The material has mini flags on it ...a RAK from Heaven...thank you Kathy! I used stitched grosgrain ribbon, buttons, and a flag from stash. I think it's really cute and symbolic! ENJOY Cindy...it's on the way.

Hello and welcome to my blog...

I"ve made this tag with the charm/dangle on it for a swap. To me..the lil' bird sings Summer. I used a TH tag...inked it with his inks in vintage photo...brushes corduroy...and tattered rose to give it a old age vibe. I used SU ink in chocolate chip to stamp the image. It to is a SU stamp set. The dangle base is a TH swivel clasp and lots of beads and misc items. I hope you all enjoy it.

Aged box

Here is a mini box I altered for a Friend on the CMB. I can't say exactly WHO just yet as it is for the Junebug Secret Sister swap. I know she follows my blog and don't want to ruin the surprise...:)  She love dark earthy tones and I thought it being vintage/antiqued ..it would work for her. I hope she enjoys it. I used Distressed inks in  carmel..hazelnut, latte and copper to give the box a worned aged look.Added the DP. I used a trim from Jo Ann's around the lid.  The top of the lid...the two chocolate brown flowers were from a swap ...THANK YOU THERESA S... I loved them! I handmade the two tiny cream roses from a vintage lace. I added the black prima pearls...a handmade stick pin and cream ribbon to make a bow.

Drab to FAB !!!!!

I altered this box for the Vintage Box swap on the CMB. It's for my sis, Diane. ENJOY it sweetie. I used a paper mache' box inked the edges in Chestnut roan chalk in. The add smooth black cardstock under the October Afternoon's Thrift shop designer paper. Love it...looks very antique-y!!!! I then add black cardstock to the lid..with an old postcard...inked the edges. I had some small printed Designer paper in a black/white added it for a pop of patterns. Add a large prinma in dk brown...a handmade flower..THANK YOU SKRAPPINDIVA...but add a pinecone glimmer mist to it to give it the worn/aged vibe. The cream crocheted flower is a vintage look too...I made it and added the pearl to the center. The black gemed trim is from Jo Ann's..and very vintage. THe flower of pearls was a button...added the black prima gems flourishes and the handmade stick pin. THe knob is from Tim Holts collection.  I love how it looks..and hope that Diane is just as pleased.

My cup runth over

So I've been creating even more. I soo LOVE being off work...lol!!! I have made a pincushion. It's created from a cup and saucer I bought at a thrift store. It's china...and gorgeous. You just never know what goodies are just waiting to be found at a thrift shop!!!! I did this one for a friend on the CMB...Tiffany...her room is in the colors red/black/white. SO I hunted until I found a black/white cup and saucer. I DID!!!!! The doily on the top is an antique..from another thrift store...and I glimmer mist'd it with Brick. It's a pretty deep dark muted red. The large  handmade flower was from a friend..THANK YOU Skrappindiva! I glimmer'd some with mists and added them to the saucer. I used a wide crocheted ribbon and made it into a bow...added it with the flowers. The butterfly is lace..I actually sewed it on the stick pin to make it look like it's flying. Added buttons in the colors of her room and a string of pearls for the girlie feel. Topped it off with some handmade stick pins and it's ready to send to North Carolina. ENJOY Miss Tif.  I am sooo PROUD of this one..it's the first one I've altered/created and will be proud to send it to her.

Stuck in a Rut Jar

This is the inspiration jar I made for a swap on the CMB. My partner is Jen...we've been partners on several swaps and always love the work she does for me as well as what I make to send her. I altered this small jar for her...in her..OUR ..favorite color combo...PINK/CREAM/BROWN. It turned out soo cute. I had no idea at first..but then the creativity just came to me and this is what I came up with.  I handmade the PINK pipecleaner flower...and add the large gem brad to the center. The small white ones were primas...dusted w/sand glimmer mist. The heart is from MM and pink pearl flourishes by Prima.  The lace butterfly was a RAK sent to me..and it came in ohh-sooo handy. I added teeny-tiny pearls down the middle of it. THe paper is from SEI Grandma's Kitchen???...The crocheted lace on the top...I threaded a pretty pink satin ribbon thru it..and lef the one on the bottom open. Added detail!  The top of the lid..I cut a circle from pink paper..??? ...and glued it down...sanded the edges and added a dk brown ribbon around it. The large pink  flower was from SKrappindiva...THANKS Kathy Jo...and I crocheted the chocolate brown with pink center. For the inspiration~~~~ we had to write ideas down on paper for our sister when her MOJO is runing low.... It turned out way better than I had imagined. ENJOY IT Jen....it's on the way....
