Work In Progress

I've been working on a few things. I've enjoyed how they have turned out as well. They are all swaps I've joined.
The Green clovers are for the YPP stick it up swap. I love how they look.

Recipe-Green bazzill crdstk I cut at 3.5 on my Cricut. Then on with a dker green at 1.5 . I inked the edge with a dk brown. Stamped in dk brown..LUCKY. Made the stick pins with a variety of green beads.

 This is a Dangle for the Charm/Dangle swap on the CMB. It was a FREE Choice theme. I used Girlie Girl. Lots of pink..and flowers. It's really *charming.*  :)


RECIPE~Tim Holtz swivel clasp and jump rings. A nice variety of beads from Wal-Mart and M's.

THis is for the swap on the CMB too. But it was a Vintage theme. I love the colors of the metals I used on it . Lots of browns..creams..and blacks. Can 4 Copics

Hello to all

This can is a tall lunch tin I altered for a swap on the CMB. It's going to _____in Florida. I know she will enjoy it..she asked for it in one of the Mandatory HM items category. I really am pleased with how it came together.

Recipe~~Maya Road tin..covered in DCWV Solid cardstock in a dk teal and a stripe teal and cream with a hint of glitter. Ribbons are from my stash. Bling flourish is by Prima and the flowers ...are from stash. I glimmer mist'd the two darker teal flowers..one with a dragonfly and the other with cool carribean. I inked the edges of the other two white flowers with  SU cool carribean. Then added pearls and PRima centers to them. I also made the heart stick pin in teal colors. The word **Copics** is from BG chipboard letters. I inked them in the SU cool carribean and then used Ranger paint dabber in Pearl on top of it. Heat set it. I'm soo pleased with my creations.

Another Year

Hello To all

Well...My birthday has come and gone. It was a nice one too. I sooo enjoyed it. DH had bought me a NEW computer...love it! DD took me to lunch at my fav restaurant...Lil' Mexico. Yummmmm. I have also rec'vd nice cards and things from friends on CMB. THANKS GALS!!!! You all made my BIRTHDAY soo special.

Charmed, I'm sure

Here are some charms I've made. Not to shabby if I say so myself...lol. There were for a swap on the CMB with Crystal.

Recipe~~Tim Holtz fragment charms and jump rings. I used Ledger paper from HL in different colors glued it with Glossy Accent since it dries clear. Once dry...cut it out w/a craft

knife and sanded the edges. I then used a small flourish stamp with staz-on black in. Added teeny-tiny pearls for accents. I think it give that 3-D affect. Love how they turned out.

Dry Erase board

I altered this modern photo frame as a dry erase board for a swap on the CMB. It was for my sister Tiffany. I love how it turned out. It's just a glass frame and use a regular dry erase pen on it to write. Wipes clean with a paper towel.

Recipe----White cardstock w/inked edges in SU Red Riding Hood. I cut the From the Heart on my Pink E from the cart "Country Life" and the Heart motif came from it as well.

VINTAGE VIBE

Hello to all~~~~

I've been very creative lately...and I've loved how things are ending up. I hope you all enjoy it as much as i do. Leave some love and let me know what you think. I enjoy reading the input.

Here are some of my works of art...lol.

This is a mini Vintage Comp book I altered for a CMB friend, Jen. I hope she enjoys it.

RECIPE~~Mini comp book used a vintage patterned paper for the base. Then I used a ledger paper..distressed with Timmy inks in vintage photo..brushed corduroy and tattered rose. Used a Crafty Secrets vintage photo and distressed it in the same way. Hand crocheted the flower glimmer misted it in a  Vintage pink and Pinecone to give it more of a old vibe. I added the two buttons to coordinate with the colors. I alter'd the stick pin in black beads to once again add that look of old.  I also used a pretty crocheted lace ribbon ...glimmer mist'd in the same colors .

 This book is for another swap from the CMB . Skrappindiva this is for you. I know you like the vintage look...so here you go...I hope you enjoy it. 

Recipe~~~Paper is a brownish gold tone with a liter cream. Used a ledger paper distressed with Timmy inks...tattered rose..vintage photo, and brush corduroy. it really adds the old-time feel to it! Did the same to the postcard..it is actually cut from a 12x12 sheet of paper. BUT-I loved the look and cut it down..tore the corner and distressed it. GLimmer'd the white silk flower to age it and then the smaller flower was a RAK (from Sheri---thank you) I also glimmer'd it added pop dots and then

made the pin.  The last touch was the pearl flourishes...LOVE IT!!!

Been tooo long

Good Morning~~~

We Valentine's Day has come and gone. It was a great day....DH had gave me a card wth cash in it...YAHHH..took me to Texas Roadhouse for dinner..and DD and her roommate gave me a single red rose..Soo special.  I sure hope everyone had a day as wonderful as mine

I have been crafting my lil' heart out too. I've done several projects....Stick pins...crocheted flowers...dangles/charms...and tags. Turned out quiet nice too. I will post photos later.

February is almost over....I hope this means Spring is on the way??? Next month is my birthday month and warmer weather is around the corner.

Framed Art

I altered a dollar frame for a friend...Robin on the CMB. It was soo plain until I changed it! The colors I used were the colors she has in her scraproom. I painted the frame white...then used alcohol inks in Meadow and Stonewashed on it. I loved how that turned out. THen I used a green/blue plaid paper, a green washed and blue washed papers from HL. I cut a label from the Lacey Label lite Cart . The chipboard word**Happiness** was brown...colored it with a Paint Dauber in Snow Cap. Added touches of SU ink in Certainly Celery and Marina Mist to the edges of it. Added 3 flowers..all different in the lower rt hand corner. The printed green one is handmade...the white one is a Prima...and the lite aqua is 3 different flowers to create one. I LOVE THEM! Add black/clear flourished bling on both sides.  SHE LOVED this ~Framed Art~...

Happy Mail

Within the last week...I've rec'vd some wonderful things in the mail. It has made my mailbox very happy. I rec'vd 4 new carts for my cricut....B is for Boy...Handy Man...these two I traded for...I gained these and lost two jukeboxes I no longer used. Great trade or what? :)
Then I purchase/WON on ebay...Spring Holiday Card mini cart and April Showers mini cart...they are soo cute.  Then my BFF from New York sent me an early birthday present....a light PINK OTT lite for my scraproom.....GOTTA LOVE THAT!!! THANKS Missy....love ya girl!  Then my GYPSY arrived...OMG...what a toy! So it was a week of wonderful finds in my mailbox... I hope you all have  a Happy Mailbox too...

Winter Box

I made this adorable lil' box from the Spring Holiday cards Mini cart....love it!!!! I used the MS score board to score straight lines to fold for the box itself. I used a double-sided blue heavy paper for the background...which says Winter wonderland..in small print...then took another double-sided snowflake printed paper and but a strip and used the MS Eyelet lace border on one side. Stamped in SU Chocolate Chip a winter stamp sayings..added a light blue mat. Cut snowflakes from the Winter Lace cart...used 3 different snowflakes and added pop dots to give it deminision. Love how it turned out!!!!! Punched a hole in the handle and added winter ribbon...I hope Terri loves it as much as I do...

Tags & Pins

I've been working on these for a while. The heart set is for one group on the CMB and the red set is for the YPP group. I love how they each turned out.

Pink Hearts ...I cut the hearts from the Lacey Labels Lite cart and inked the edges w/SU chocoloate chip. I added journaling lines also in CC and the flourish is an Autumn Leaves flourish stamp. I pop dotted the small heart and stuck the pin thru it. The beads are from Wal-mart and I stamped the Tilda on shrinky dink paper , colored her with Prismacolor pencils , cut her out and used my heat gun on it to shrink it. SOOOO cute...I put a hole in her head to make it a charm BEFORE shrinking...add the jump ring and put her on the end of my stick pin.

Red Tags...these were for my YPP group...and the theme was Christmas...I hope this fits the bill...lol. I used the lacey Labels cart once again and then  added journaling lines in SU Black. I cut the Circled Joy from Lacey Labels as well...tied a deep red gingham ribbon around the tag and stuck my pins thru it...Turned out quiet nice!!!

My New Toy

Good Morning ~~~~

Well my new toy arrived Friday...and I still can't get my Gypsy to register so I can do the downloads. Grrrrr...I love it though..and very anxious to play with it. Thanks to a good friend, Jenn (CMB friend) I have one. I'm soo looking forward to seeing all that is has to offer.

Valentine's Comp Book

Good morning to all~~~~

I altered a comp book for a  SS Valentine's Day Comp book swap on the CMB. I really LOVE how it just came together without pondering much on it!!! LOL :)  The one that it is for even commented on it...me..me...me...send it to me...It's beautiful, Rhonda!!!! If only she knew...well..she will soon enough.

RECIPE~~Comp book..black designer paper by Hot Off the PRess..White

/red cardstock..I used both of these thru my CB. White one has a Valentine inpired theme and the red has the same but is *Queen of Hearts* on it...sooo very appropriate for this theme!!! I then ink'd them with black soot distressed ink to give them a muted vibe like the DP. I used a wide sheer ribbon in white and  thin in red tied around both these embossed cardstock papers. I used a stick pin I altered in the knot. Added flowers around them...the white one had black ink'd edges...the small red one is a felt flower to give a variety of interest. The heart in the upper left-hand corner is a left-over embellishment...which I painted with MM red wagon paint (2 coats) and then ink'd with BS ink to age it too. Then added the Prima gems in the angle of the heart. I also added the gems on the end of the flowers. I LOVE how it turned out...soo proud! Leave some love!!!!

Christmas Card

Hello...

I made this Christmas card for my DD...she loved it. I love how it turned out. It was a fairly simply card to start with that was sent to me....white card stock rain thru the cuttlebug...not much of a card to me...so I DOLL'd it up...lol. I ink the edges with chestnut roan ink...and over the snowflaked embossed areas...looks a lil' antiqued that way. Then I cut some ledger paper and red cardstock...used the SU stamp set...Heard from the Heart message. Used a corduroy ribbon my American Craft in chocolate brown...added a Tim Holts memo pin with an ink'd red heart in it. Love the outcome of it all...NOW that is a card.

Sweet Tilda

Hello...

I made this card..which is called the Brick Wall card...for a STSB sister. I love how she turned out. I used SU red cardstock...GinaK luxury white to stamp Sweet Tilda on and then I cut it into lil' brick-like shapes. Then put it back together like a brick wall pattern. I spritzed the big flower in the upper rt hand corner with Red Velver G. MIst..added the smaller deep red Prima and a gem. On the bottom lt hand corner I used a white prima I dusted the edges with SU Red Riding Hood ink...and a deep red prima. Added small pearls to the center of them. USed a Tim HOltz Memo Pin holding a SU Mini tag stamped with the word *friends*. Used a red gingham ribbon to adorn the corners and tye in the upper rt hand corner. I LOVE how it turned out...

Christmas has come and gone

HELLO to all...

Well ...the holidays were NOT as bad as they could have been. I was not into them at all after last year's incident.  :(  I just did not want anything to do with them...but as it turned out...they were fair. I still miss my lil' guys...more than words can say...but know they are in my heart and Mammaw thinks of them each and everyday. LOVE YA , Xavier, Ian and Landen. 

I rec'vd some nice things as well...DH bought me a new Maytag Bravo washer and dryer...delivery is TUESDAY...woo hoo. I'm soo anxious...lol...i know you are probably thinking over a washer and dryer...housework...but it's the truth. My dryer was dying and was a noisey machine...to have quiet...and to do laundry at any time of the day....What a blessing! He also gave me Nike shoes, a snuggie..and a sherpa blanket...soo warm. ANd yummy peanut dark choc. M&Ms. 

One of my best friends, Missy...sent me two solutions carts...Thanksgiving and the Christmas cards...LOVE them both...thanks BFF!

DD and her roommate gave me a $50 M's gift card and MIL/FIL gave me a $25 M's gift card.. Not too shabby..eh? I can't wait to spend them...lol

All in all...great year and soo much to be blessed  and grateful for!

Creative Ideas

Hello to all...

Here are a few items I have made...altered for a swap I was just in called 12 Days of Christmas on the CMB. I love how they turned out and hope that my SS does as well.


I used a canvas board..sprayed with Pashmina glimmer mist. CUt the words from my Cricut E  and glued them where I wanted them. Sprayed over the words! ONce dry..I lefted the words off. THEN..I had a heart in the upper rt hand corner. I used  Tim HOltz age mahgoney crackle paint on it..added a grunge flower and prima swirl.  On the lower lt hand corner...I added grunged flowers spritzed with glimmer mist , ran a hand-crocheted ribbon thru the center loop and made the ends look ruffled. Added more flowers with pearl centers. I LOVE how it turned out..



I altered this pocket planner in my SS fav color...purple. IT did turn out quiet nice..even though I'm NOT a purple person...tee hhhe.  I used the paper from  M's the ribbon is grosgrain and the small flowers are prima..a variety. Added pearls to the center . THe large purple flower is sugared in the center...then cut her monogram out on the Cricut using the Storybook cart.

An Apology :(

I want to apologize to my beloved Kahlua...I'm sorry sweetie for not posting your BIRTHDAY photos sooner. On November 12th..she turned 12. That is a HUGE deal for a Boxer to live this long. SHE Is my baby...I love her dearly and I had to celebrate HER day.  I also had to take photos. I KNOW we are only limited on time with her...I hate to think of the enevitable...Cry..sniff..sniff..tears!!! SHe was an anniversary gift to me from Chad, DH...12 years ago...and she has brought soo much joy and love to me and my family. Love ya baby girl.

Winter is REALLY here!!!

Hello to all~~~

This morning I woke to a blanket of white on the ground. The sad part is ~~it is still coming down! YUCK!!!! It is like a lite and airy pillow fight...lots of them blowing around. i do admit...it's pretty..but I still do not like it. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...that is all I can think of....once I get cold ...I stay cold. BRING on the Spring weather. IF you are out and about, driving in this ...please be careful...drive safe.

I plan to do some crafting today. I have a couple of swaps that need loose ends finished and it's a great day for it. DH is out deer hunting..yes in the snow...I hope he catches the deer and not PNEUMONIA!!!

Brrrrrrrrrr

TOday is a cold and windy day here in Indiana. Not sure where Autumn went...but it didn't stay long. It sure feels like WINTER...brrrr!!!! I'm NOT ready for Winter...but am I ever???????? NOPE!!! :) DH and FIL are finishing the fence today. Looks great! Finally a place for my furbabies to run...they will love that! Especially Sprint, our Pit...since he is always on his leash. Poor baby!

I've been crafting...finishing up some loose ends on a few swaps. Only a few things to go...on one of them. We won't talk of the others...lol.

I hope everyone is enjoying the Halloween weekend. I hope the weather isn't FREEZING for those lil' ones that are going  out. I do not have lil' ones any longer or do we get any treaters in the country.  Stay warm and enjoy!

Lunch Box Mini Notecards

I enjoyed making these tiny things! Soo cute...and they can be used for journaling spots on layouts just not as notecards. It was another swap on the Cricut board. I really like the animal print...:)

Cards

I made these cards for a swap on the Cricut board. I love how they turned out....

Teal birthday...I used pre-scored cards for it. Then added the layers. I sprayed the large flower with Jazz Blue Glimmer mist and dried it. Used smaller prima flowers...pearls and gems. The memo pin is Tim Holtzs. I LOVE these pins!!! I had stamped the tiny tag from the set called TINY TAGS by Stampin' Up. The punch is from SU as well. I inked the edges of it..and the Happy Birthday! is from Stampabilities at Hobby Lobby.

Yellow Thinking of you...is a pre-cut card as well. Looks like a tag! I used papers from Micheal's and blue bazzill cardstock. The large yellow florwer is a Prima and the smaller ones are too. The glittery brown center is a Fabric Fancy Prima. I used a wide looped pale yellow ribbon and then layered a chocolate brown lace on top...soo pretty. The saying stamp is  from Stampin' Up. Pearls from Hobby Lobby.

First Mini Album

This is my very first handmade mini album. I got the idea from a friend on the Cricut Message board that had sent one similiar to me. Thank you Maureen!!!! It was for a swap to Jen on the Cricut board. She loved it.  It was made from legal size envies cut down to 6 inches in length. I used a pc of chipboard at 3 inches folded and scored to keep the envies in place. Chipboard front and back to stablized the book. I used SEI ...Aunt Gertie's Garden paper collection...Bazzill pink, brown and sage cardstock to match the papers.  Pearls, gems, Prima flowers, Tim Holtz memo pin, cork paper, ribbons..and a coin envie. I used Martha Stewart's deep edge border punch for the scallops on the edge of the pages. I truely enjoyed making it..it did take some time...but well worth it. Jen almost didnt' get it.....lol. What a view!!!!

Happy Sunday! Well last Saturday we took a bike ride..a long ride. Several of our friends all met and rode to see the covered bridges in our area. They are really cool. I sooo enjoyed it. Had a great day....great friends...good food and riding...can't get any better than this!

Our Anniversary today

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY CHAD~~~ love ya...

Today we have been married 6 yrs...seems like forever and a day. LOL! Since we have been together 15 yrs..Many more to come. I hope they are alot smoother than the previous years.

Well..today being our anniversary..we were going to go bike riding. It has rained and alot. ....not sure if it's still in the plans or not. I was soo looking forward to it too. DH purchased my helmet as a gift and it arrived on Wednesday...just in time to go today...ughhhh...

We finally did it!!!! Took the plunge and after persuading DH...we have bought a BIKE!!!! YAhhhhhhhhh....I sooo love to ride! The open road...wind in your face...no bugs...lol....and the purr of a bike is amazing. I'm sooo excited.  Love it....
