Framed

I altered this photo frame for my partner in the shoebox swap on the Cricut site. It's for the day **Shabby Chic**. I love how it turned out...I wanted to keep it...I hope she likes it as much as I do :) It started off being a plain boring photo frame. I painted it a lt sage green and pink in random areas on the frame until covered. Then painted it with Tim Holtz Picket Fence Crackle paint. LOVE that stuff!!! I then added some wedding lace given to me by a friend, THanks Nancy!...and used flowers also cut by Nancy. I painted one of them with the same crackle paint. Then folded the edges...The dictionary print I crumpled together...and glued down....spread them out after on...then used Cherry Blossom Glimmer mist on it. I also used Prima Flourishes in pink pearls to accent the flowers. Then I added the word by Me and My Big Ideas **MY LOVE**. It is for a photo of her Fiance. I just love it.....soo proud of how it turned out.

What do you think???

THis is a can I had made for a lady on the cricut site. It is going to Canada...and I soo hope she enjoys it. It was hard to part with....I love how it turned out. Pink and brown was her colors and hope this fits the bill. lol. I bought the can at a local hardware store...the printed paper is from Basic Grey ...the chocolate brown cardstock is by Bazzil ..ribbons...are from CTMH...Micheals.. Flowers are by Prima..the quote is by Cloud 9....rhinestones flourish on the lid is by Primas as well as the flower. ENjoy..and leave a comment...I sooo love reading them

My WIsh Can

Here is a can I was sent from Cammi...aka..Scrappin_RN. SHe is awesome. I loved how it turned out!!! It is sage and chocolate in colors..so elegant. Also of the great things she sent to me. I soo enjoyed getting to know her. 

 I have put the can on the shelf with all the others I've had the pleasure of swapping with...What an addition to my collection. I'm soo proud of it..

Happy Sunday

Hello to all....

Today I am tuckered. I rolled our almost 3 acres of yard yesterday all by myself and it killed my tushi!!! My back is soo sore. So I did some crafts today. I'm sooo excited. I made a Paint can...altered a photo frame to look shabby chic and a few cards. I will post photos later. So watch for those and leave your thoughts on them, please.

It's a gorgeous day...perfect day here! I am soo thankful for that. DD and her friend went to Turkey Run State Park hiking and wanted me to go. I wanted to soo bad...but didnt' feel like my back was up to it after being beat on that mower...lol. Next time!  I sure hope they had fun. They took my neice Carlie with them...I'm sure she enjoyed it.

Today is my birthday. It is a yucky day out...ohh how I wish it were nice out like yesterday. I am going to lunch with DD at Lil' Mexico and then I'm coming home to craft. What a great day to do so.

To keep or give away????

I made this can...it's for a swap I'm in on the Cricut site. It's soo pretty I want to keep it. It is by far the best one I have done yet.  I sure hope my sister enjoys it. IT is also packed full of goodies...:)
I use brown Bazzill cardstock...Paper Studio Flocked DS paper...Prima flowers..silk flowers that I dyed myself. The large brown flower was dyed by Pinecone glimmer mist...and the lighter one is inked with chalk in called azurlite...and chestnut roan. I used a Prima rhinestone flourish in black diamonds. Ribbons are chocolate chip from SU and Martha Stewart's printed ribbon. I used a quote card from Cloud 9. Gems in the center are from M's dollar bin. I made a tag for it...using rub-on Alphas by MM. It is soo gorgeous. I hope to hear from you all on what you think.

Happy Friday

Hello to all

It is a gorgeous Friday morning here. Beautiful weather...finally. It is looking more like Spring has sprung. I took the day off to enjoy my birthday on Monday...it is a vacation day too. I'm celebrating my whole weekend!!!!!! IT will be a good time.  Today..I'm off to my MILs to learn how to use my copic markers...she is good at this!!!! WISH me luck. IF I get any images colored...YOU will be the first to see them!

Happy Saturday

I know I've been MIA for a while...I'm now back. NOt too much going on though.

It is starting to look like Spring. I'm soo glad...just wish it didn't have to rain as much. IT looks flooded here in our own back yard.

I am now a PROUD new owner of the PINK E that I have longed for. I have used it a little..kind of intimidating...lol. I soo enjoy it though. Looks great in my new scrap room too. I also have the new pink cuttlebug...not the pink I was hoping for...but will work.

I am off to do some crafting.

Happy New Year

Hello everyone~~~

We are off to start a whole New year. I hope this one brings each of you lots of joy, love, and good health. For those that scrap..TONS of creative vibes. It's hard to believe that this decade has flown by...where did the time go?

  I have lots of memories of this decade too...some happy and some sad.  I became a Mammaw 3 times....My DD graduated  high school...My DS graduated college...I was married...and then there were the sad....9/11...hardships with my son...Losing not one...but both of my Grandfathers and both Grandmothers....Job decreasing...economy looking grim...I do pray this year turns everything into a POSITIVE.

Holidays

Hello to all~~

The upcoming holidays have me busier than usual. Besides workign 10 hour days plus...I now am on vacation. But it won't be that...lol. I will be trimming the tree, wrapping gifts, making candies, baking cookies, and trying to put my scraproom in order. NO resting here. Soo much to do and little time to do it all in. It will be all worth it once it's over and done.

 

I want to wish you all the happiest of Holidays...I hope that it's truely a blessful event and memories are plenty. Enjoy the family and do not forget the true reason for Christmas.

Creative Ideas.....

Here are some things I've been working on for a swap...I hope you all enjoy them.
First is an altered photo frame. I painted it pink and then used Tim Holtz walnut crackle paint on it....soo cool. Such a wonderful technique!!!! THen I painted the word Amore....in pink...added ribbons..and handmade the flower. 

This is the second item. It's a perpetual calendar. It was *naked* wooden...I painted it pink to...see a pattern...lol. Then add designer paper, flowers, ribbon, and skittles... It turned out really nice. In this photo...I still need to add the Months to it.

Hello ..

I rec'vd some covers for my new toys in the mail. Then today...my new pup decided to eat it...ughhh. I loved them...they matched my new room. Silly dog!
