Cards

I made these cards for a swap on the Cricut board. I love how they turned out....

Teal birthday...I used pre-scored cards for it. Then added the layers. I sprayed the large flower with Jazz Blue Glimmer mist and dried it. Used smaller prima flowers...pearls and gems. The memo pin is Tim Holtzs. I LOVE these pins!!! I had stamped the tiny tag from the set called TINY TAGS by Stampin' Up. The punch is from SU as well. I inked the edges of it..and the Happy Birthday! is from Stampabilities at Hobby Lobby.

Yellow Thinking of you...is a pre-cut card as well. Looks like a tag! I used papers from Micheal's and blue bazzill cardstock. The large yellow florwer is a Prima and the smaller ones are too. The glittery brown center is a Fabric Fancy Prima. I used a wide looped pale yellow ribbon and then layered a chocolate brown lace on top...soo pretty. The saying stamp is  from Stampin' Up. Pearls from Hobby Lobby.

First Mini Album

This is my very first handmade mini album. I got the idea from a friend on the Cricut Message board that had sent one similiar to me. Thank you Maureen!!!! It was for a swap to Jen on the Cricut board. She loved it.  It was made from legal size envies cut down to 6 inches in length. I used a pc of chipboard at 3 inches folded and scored to keep the envies in place. Chipboard front and back to stablized the book. I used SEI ...Aunt Gertie's Garden paper collection...Bazzill pink, brown and sage cardstock to match the papers.  Pearls, gems, Prima flowers, Tim Holtz memo pin, cork paper, ribbons..and a coin envie. I used Martha Stewart's deep edge border punch for the scallops on the edge of the pages. I truely enjoyed making it..it did take some time...but well worth it. Jen almost didnt' get it.....lol. What a view!!!!

Happy Sunday! Well last Saturday we took a bike ride..a long ride. Several of our friends all met and rode to see the covered bridges in our area. They are really cool. I sooo enjoyed it. Had a great day....great friends...good food and riding...can't get any better than this!

Our Anniversary today

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY CHAD~~~ love ya...

Today we have been married 6 yrs...seems like forever and a day. LOL! Since we have been together 15 yrs..Many more to come. I hope they are alot smoother than the previous years.

Well..today being our anniversary..we were going to go bike riding. It has rained and alot. ....not sure if it's still in the plans or not. I was soo looking forward to it too. DH purchased my helmet as a gift and it arrived on Wednesday...just in time to go today...ughhhh...

Our New Toy

Hello to all...

We finally did it!!!! Took the plunge and after persuading DH...we have bought a BIKE!!!! YAhhhhhhhhh....I sooo love to ride! The open road...wind in your face...no bugs...lol....and the purr of a bike is amazing. I'm sooo excited.  Love it....

My FIRST colored Tilda

Hello to all...


As promised...once I finished my first Tilda coloring I was going to post it. I colored the Journal writing Tilda and cut her out. I used her on an altered book for a  friend. I sooooo loved how it turned out....I hope she does as well.

I had purchased the book from the dollar store...covered it in Bazzill cardstock. Used a blue gingham ribbon for the binding...and then another strip of the same ribbon...twisted and placed on the book. I used two silk flowers and a big blue gem. Placed Tilda as if sitting on the ribbon. THen I added pearls from Queen & Co...at each end of the ribbons.  I added a silver frame with the words * a little note* inside it.  The colors of copics I used are....for the dress/socks...B91-93-95...for her hair...E31 and 33...her skin...E50-51-53 and the book is RV29 . I love to hear comments...leave a msg...

FInally did it....

Hello to all....

I went last night and cut my waist-lenght hair to just below my shoulders. It feels good to have it gone...BUT I miss it. I've always had long hair and now feel bald. LOL!  It will take some getting use to for sure. It will be easier to manage too. NO more headaches...I hope. I will have to post a before and after photo...give me time to find a before...

MIA lately...

I've been feeling much better..still have the migraines from time to time...but not as often.  Thank goodness :)

I've been working on a few swap items. THese are insert cards for the lunchbox tins. IT's a swap I joined on the Cricut site. I love how the turned out!!! I took two different spots...A valentines and a Mother's Day. I hope you enjoy them...

Another day home

Hello ...

I missed work yesterday due to a migraine. I NEVER miss work!!! So this tells you how bad I hurt! Then I made an appt for the DR...he did some tests...drew blood..and the scheduled me for a CT scan for today. I'm a lil' scared..but I will do fine. I have God on my side.

Happy Saturday

It's been a while since I've posted...a few things has happened. DD has finished this year of classes for college and did wel..YAHHH! DH has started his racing season. LOTS of luck to him...GO Chadwick! Mother's Day has come and gone...and now we are in the middle of May. WHere oh where has the time gone?

Here is my beautiful gift from my DD, Kia. I cried when I rec'vd it. THen she also wrote me the most beautiful letter...and told me i was the **KEY** to her life....I cried some more. IT is the Open Heart collection by Jane Seymour. I've wanted the heart ...but to have the KEY and the meaning behind it...is PRICELESS! She is the best daughter in the world. Love ya sis.

Framed

I altered this photo frame for my partner in the shoebox swap on the Cricut site. It's for the day **Shabby Chic**. I love how it turned out...I wanted to keep it...I hope she likes it as much as I do :) It started off being a plain boring photo frame. I painted it a lt sage green and pink in random areas on the frame until covered. Then painted it with Tim Holtz Picket Fence Crackle paint. LOVE that stuff!!! I then added some wedding lace given to me by a friend, THanks Nancy!...and used flowers also cut by Nancy. I painted one of them with the same crackle paint. Then folded the edges...The dictionary print I crumpled together...and glued down....spread them out after on...then used Cherry Blossom Glimmer mist on it. I also used Prima Flourishes in pink pearls to accent the flowers. Then I added the word by Me and My Big Ideas **MY LOVE**. It is for a photo of her Fiance. I just love it.....soo proud of how it turned out.

THis is a can I had made for a lady on the cricut site. It is going to Canada...and I soo hope she enjoys it. It was hard to part with....I love how it turned out. Pink and brown was her colors and hope this fits the bill. lol. I bought the can at a local hardware store...the printed paper is from Basic Grey ...the chocolate brown cardstock is by Bazzil ..ribbons...are from CTMH...Micheals.. Flowers are by Prima..the quote is by Cloud 9....rhinestones flourish on the lid is by Primas as well as the flower. ENjoy..and leave a comment...I sooo love reading them

My WIsh Can

Here is a can I was sent from Cammi...aka..Scrappin_RN. SHe is awesome. I loved how it turned out!!! It is sage and chocolate in colors..so elegant. Also of the great things she sent to me. I soo enjoyed getting to know her. 

 I have put the can on the shelf with all the others I've had the pleasure of swapping with...What an addition to my collection. I'm soo proud of it..

Happy Sunday

Hello to all....

Today I am tuckered. I rolled our almost 3 acres of yard yesterday all by myself and it killed my tushi!!! My back is soo sore. So I did some crafts today. I'm sooo excited. I made a Paint can...altered a photo frame to look shabby chic and a few cards. I will post photos later. So watch for those and leave your thoughts on them, please.

It's a gorgeous day...perfect day here! I am soo thankful for that. DD and her friend went to Turkey Run State Park hiking and wanted me to go. I wanted to soo bad...but didnt' feel like my back was up to it after being beat on that mower...lol. Next time!  I sure hope they had fun. They took my neice Carlie with them...I'm sure she enjoyed it.

To keep or give away????

I made this can...it's for a swap I'm in on the Cricut site. It's soo pretty I want to keep it. It is by far the best one I have done yet.  I sure hope my sister enjoys it. IT is also packed full of goodies...:)
I use brown Bazzill cardstock...Paper Studio Flocked DS paper...Prima flowers..silk flowers that I dyed myself. The large brown flower was dyed by Pinecone glimmer mist...and the lighter one is inked with chalk in called azurlite...and chestnut roan. I used a Prima rhinestone flourish in black diamonds. Ribbons are chocolate chip from SU and Martha Stewart's printed ribbon. I used a quote card from Cloud 9. Gems in the center are from M's dollar bin. I made a tag for it...using rub-on Alphas by MM. It is soo gorgeous. I hope to hear from you all on what you think.

Happy Friday

Hello to all

It is a gorgeous Friday morning here. Beautiful weather...finally. It is looking more like Spring has sprung. I took the day off to enjoy my birthday on Monday...it is a vacation day too. I'm celebrating my whole weekend!!!!!! IT will be a good time.  Today..I'm off to my MILs to learn how to use my copic markers...she is good at this!!!! WISH me luck. IF I get any images colored...YOU will be the first to see them!

Happy Saturday

I know I've been MIA for a while...I'm now back. NOt too much going on though.

It is starting to look like Spring. I'm soo glad...just wish it didn't have to rain as much. IT looks flooded here in our own back yard.

I am now a PROUD new owner of the PINK E that I have longed for. I have used it a little..kind of intimidating...lol. I soo enjoy it though. Looks great in my new scrap room too. I also have the new pink cuttlebug...not the pink I was hoping for...but will work.

I am off to do some crafting.

Happy New Year

Hello everyone~~~

We are off to start a whole New year. I hope this one brings each of you lots of joy, love, and good health. For those that scrap..TONS of creative vibes. It's hard to believe that this decade has flown by...where did the time go?

  I have lots of memories of this decade too...some happy and some sad.  I became a Mammaw 3 times....My DD graduated  high school...My DS graduated college...I was married...and then there were the sad....9/11...hardships with my son...Losing not one...but both of my Grandfathers and both Grandmothers....Job decreasing...economy looking grim...I do pray this year turns everything into a POSITIVE.

Holidays

Hello to all~~

The upcoming holidays have me busier than usual. Besides workign 10 hour days plus...I now am on vacation. But it won't be that...lol. I will be trimming the tree, wrapping gifts, making candies, baking cookies, and trying to put my scraproom in order. NO resting here. Soo much to do and little time to do it all in. It will be all worth it once it's over and done.

 

I want to wish you all the happiest of Holidays...I hope that it's truely a blessful event and memories are plenty. Enjoy the family and do not forget the true reason for Christmas.
